This model is designed to develop the training skills in pneumothorax puncture, hydrothorax puncture, closed thoracic drainage and postoperative care techniques.

Features

· Anatomy: 

1) Adult male thorax with neck, waist and raised arms

2) Obvious anatomical landmarks including sternum, clavicle, ribs, and pleural cavity structure.

3) The open window on the right chest shows the hierarchical structure of the chest wall and pleural cavity, as well as the course and relationship of muscles, nerves and vessels.

· Key Features:

1)  Pneumothorax puncture can be performed in the second intercostal space of the left midclavicular line. If succeed, the gas inside the chest will release (the syringe for puncture can be lifted up by the released gas).

2)  Hydrothorax puncture can be performed in the sixth intercostal space of the left midclavicular line. Liquid of various colors can be injected into hydrothorax puncture module and simulated pleural effusion can be drawn out if operation is correct.

3)  Closed thoracic drainage, skin incision, drainage tube placement, suture, and postoperative care of closed thoracic drainage can be operated.

4)  Replaceable skin pad on puncture site

5)  Indicator on the back of the model tells if injected fluid is enough

6)  The puncture modules have puncture resistance characteristics, can be repeatedly punctured, and can withstand no less than 500 times of puncture without leakage of air / liquid.
